Chakradharpur: Two Motorcycles Collide While Overtaking Bus at Ulidiha Mor, Four Injured

In an attempt to overtake a bus, two motorcycles collide

Near Ulidiha Mor in Chakradharpur, Kamlesh Laguri and his friend, who had come from Bara Bamboo to Chakradharpur, were involved in a serious collision with another motorcyclist. All four riders sustained severe injuries in the accident.

Reports say that Kamlesh Laguri and his friend, who had come to Chakradharpur, were heading towards their village, Samusai (which falls under Jordihah Panchayat of Bara Bamboo), at around 5 PM today. At Ulidiha, another motorcyclist coming from the opposite direction tried to overtake a bus, resulting in both motorcycles colliding.

Fortunately, there was no major loss because the bus was not at high speed. Considering the seriousness of the situation, two local social workers, MD Kanal and Rahul Pradhan from Jamid, who were near Only Mor, rushed the injured to Chakradharpur Sub-Divisional Hospital in their Toto (e-rickshaw), where primary treatment was started.

While speaking to us, MD Kanal said that bus speeds are often high, especially on curves — just like today at Ulidiha Mor, where the bus was going at a considerable pace.
