Speeding Scorpio Causes Havoc, Three Youth Injured; Vehicle Fled After Accident, Recovered by Police

In Chakradharpur, a tragic accident occurred today at around 4 PM, when a speeding and uncontrolled Scorpio four-wheeler rammed into a stationary toto, a youth who was getting his bike serviced, and a mechanic in front of the Sub-Divisional Hospital.
The impact was so severe that the toto driver, Harish Lamay (resident of Ind Kata), was thrown along with his vehicle, which was completely damaged. The bike owner, Manoj Jamuda (resident of Canal Road, Joda Talab), and bike mechanic, Basudev Mahto (resident of Lododih), were also seriously injured.
According to eyewitnesses, after the collision, the Scorpio—which was coming from the Ranchi side—suddenly took a U-turn and sped back in the same direction. Locals tried to chase the vehicle, but due to its high speed, it disappeared near the Asantalia culvert.
Fortunately, the accident happened in front of the hospital, allowing the injured to receive immediate first aid; otherwise, the situation could have been far more serious. Upon receiving the information, police acted swiftly and recovered the Scorpio from the Bangaon police station area.
Speeding, Uncontrolled Scorpio Injures Three Youths
At around 4 PM today, a speeding and uncontrolled Scorpio four-wheeler rammed into a toto, a youth getting his bike serviced, and a mechanic. The collision was so strong that the toto, along with its driver, was thrown a considerable distance, while the bike owner and mechanic were also hit.
Fortunately, the accident occurred in front of the Sub-Divisional Hospital, allowing the injured to receive immediate medical attention. Otherwise, given the severity of the crash, it could have turned into a major emergency.
The injured include toto driver Harish Lamay, a resident of Ind Kata, whose toto was completely damaged and who sustained serious injuries; bike owner Manoj Jamuda, a resident of Canal Road (Joda Talab), Chakradharpur, whose bike was heavily damaged and who was also injured; and bike mechanic Basudev Mahto of Lododih village, who suffered the most serious injuries.
According to eyewitnesses, the four-wheeler was coming from the Ranchi side. Immediately after the accident, it took a U-turn and sped back in the same direction. Some local residents tried to chase the vehicle, but due to its high speed, it disappeared from sight near the Asantalia culvert. The injured are currently undergoing treatment at the Sub-Divisional Hospital.
