Chakradharpur (West Singhbhum), August 17, 2025 – The brutal murder of Bharti Kumari has sparked massive outrage in Chakradharpur. On Sunday, a large crowd gathered at the Chakradharpur Sub-Divisional Hospital premises and took out a candle march demanding justice and strict punishment for the accused.

The anger among locals grew so intense that the protestors went on to gherao the police station, demanding the immediate arrest of the murderer. The protest saw active participation of women, men, and children, all holding placards and raising slogans for justice.
