Two Minor Girls Escape After Abduction Attempt in Chaibasa, West Singhbhum

Chaibasa, Jharkhand: A shocking case of abduction has emerged from the Sonua police station area in West Singhbhum’s Chaibasa, where two minor girls were kidnapped late Tuesday night. However, showing remarkable courage, both girls managed to escape from the clutches of the abductors and saved themselves.

How the Abduction Happened

According to local sources, the two girls had gone near their home for defecation late in the night. Taking advantage of the situation, the kidnappers picked them up and forced them into a “Chhota Hathi” (mini truck). Reports suggest that while the girls were seated inside one vehicle, the abductors were following in another.

The Brave Escape

During the journey, when the mini truck slowed down on the way, the two minors seized the opportunity and jumped out of the moving vehicle. They ran for safety and managed to reach Gotamba village under Goilkera police station area.

Terrified but determined to protect themselves, they sought refuge at the house of a local Sahiya (rural health worker), who sheltered them for the entire night.

Villagers’ Intervention

In the morning, the incident came to the knowledge of villagers. The local Mukhiya (village head) immediately reached Gotamba and ensured the girls were safely taken to the Sonua police station.

The police have registered the case and begun an investigation. Teams are trying to trace the vehicles used in the abduction and identify the culprits involved. Officials stated that strict action will be taken against those responsible once they are caught.
