Good news has arrived for the beautification of Chakradharpur’s historic Rani Talab. An approval of ₹12 crore has been granted for its reconstruction and enhancement. The Rani Talab is not only a symbol of Chakradharpur but also an important part of the faith and cultural heritage of the local people.

The DPR (Detailed Project Report) for the project is ready, which includes cleaning the pond, creating pathways around it, seating arrangements, lighting, and other beautification works. The biggest credit for making this project a reality goes to Hon’ble MLA Sukhram Oraon Ji, and CKP Live has also played a significant role in it.

Not just the Rani Talab, but the decision has also been taken to install new mini streetlights in various parts of the city. Additionally, ₹9.5 lakh has been approved for the repair of old, non-functional streetlights so that the city’s streets, squares, and intersections remain brightly lit.

Furthermore, a provision of ₹17.4 lakh has been made to stop dirty water from entering the Potka Talab, which will not only help maintain its beauty but also protect the surrounding environment.

On behalf of the public, heartfelt thanks are extended to Hon’ble MLA Sukhram Oraon Ji, Chief Minister Hemant Soren Ji, and Urban Development Minister Sonu Ji for this initiative. This step will pave the way for a new look for Chakradharpur.

Local residents have expressed great joy over this development, stating that the beautification of Rani Talab will boost tourism, create a better recreational space for families, and enhance the overall charm of Chakradharpur. They believe this project, along with improved street lighting and environmental measures, will significantly contribute to the city’s progress and make it more attractive for both residents and visitors.
